The concept masterplan has been designed to enhance green spaces and corridors with clever urban design. The masterplan focuses on higher density living and key transport spines to create well-connected spaces for leisure, work and home life.

A total of 3,790 lots will be delivered across the entire precinct, including a range of standard and high-density residential dwellings with social and affordable housing options available. Our aim is to create a strong community hub feel that builds over the initial years and continues as the activity centre achieves scale.

Situated in Batesford, the new precinct has quick access to major arterial roads and transport options and is just 5km north-west of the Geelong’s Central Business District. McCanns Lane plans to implement a core spine of active and public transport throughout the precinct to encourage sustainable travel. Future amenities in the precinct include a sub-regional activity centre, green open spaces and a freshwater lake with a perimeter of 5km.
